The Genesysignite conference that was held on 15th December 2017 saw three technology startups taking home $30,000 in cash and support. The three startups were adjudged from a list of 147 startups which attended the event. There was a panel of judges who have wealth of experience and they led the selection of the three best startups.
The Judges comprised of Kolapo Ogungbile and Manager at Heartland Incubation Hub (Oluaka, Mohammed Ibrahim, Founder of Startup Arewa and Ommo Clark, CEO of iBez Solutions.
There were other different members on the panel that included; Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr., Presenter of Tech Trends on Channels TV, Kayode Oyewole, Manager at Ventures Platform, Obi Asika, Chairman of Dragon Africa and Uche Aniche, Founder of Startups South. The conference is dubbed GenesysIGNITE.
The organizer of the summit was Genesys Tech Hub in partnership with CFAtech.ng. Almost 1,000 startups participated this being the first time such an event was hosted in South-South and South-East region of Nigeria. Experts have seen this as properly timed and it will enable young people in several parts of Nigeria when given the opportunity to grow in technological aspects. Speaking before the hosting of the event Founder of GenesysTechHu Mr. Kingsley Eze spoke of the confidence in the credibility of the judges for the event.
