Google opens applications for the 3rd edition of its Startups Accelerator: the Middle East and North Africa programme, offering startups access to mentorship and supporting Google experts.
This 3-year program will kick off in January next year while targeting seed to Series A in tech startups. Twelve companies have graduated from the second edition of this programme among them ElCoach, FreshSource, Hekouky, Zammit in Egypt, and MyTindy in Morocco.
Commenting on the 12 graduating companies, Salim Abid, Google’s lead of developer ecosystem in MENA, described it as an honor to witness the “passion and confidence” of the startups. In the third edition, Google will consider the problem this startup is working to solve, creating value for users, addressing real-life challenges, and the broader MENA region.
Startups taking part receive mentorship on both business challenges and technical challenges not forgetting workshops that cover product design, machine learning, and leadership development. This gives access to one-on-one coaching to Google experts and other stakeholders.
