TechInAfrica – The African Fintech Summit (AFTS) is hosting its 5th summit virtually this year via the Accelvents platform on November 9th, 10th, and 12th.
With the partnership between Washington, D.C. strategic advisory group, Dedalus Global, and Ibex Frontier this year, the summit has left its traditional hosting in Washington D.C. on April during the World Bank/IFC annual meeting week, and in one African city on November due to the COVID situation.
Flawless Events will take the Event Manager role, which has experience in managing the 4th AFTS with 400 attending delegates from 30+ countries last November.
The summit will be divided into three days, with Day 1 focuses on the central African fintech ecosystem and the emerging regulatory shifts that revolutionize the region. Leaders will discuss the current trends in fintech and the challenges that encompass all regions in the continent.
Day 2 will discuss the dynamic of fintech support toward the non-fintech sectors, such as e-commerce, healthcare, and agriculture, with the on-going development of COVID-19 and AfCFTA. Another session is aimed at PayGO (pay-as-you-go) business models and its influential stance in the market.
Fintech investors, decentralized finance experts, and leaders from big-brand companies will be invited on Day 3 “The Business of Fintech” to discuss challenges and best practices such as the blockchain practice, market growth and expansion, capital raising, last-mile targeting, and prospective fintech partners vetting.
The regional semi-final and pitching for the Startup World Cup will conclude the summit. Revealed winners will continue their journey to Silicon Valley for USD 1m.
