Twelve financial technology (FinTech) innovators across the globe have qualified for the finals of the 2020 AFI Inclusive FinTech Showcase. Later this month, they will present their innovative solutions to AFI membership while addressing the fallout from Covid-19 expected to shape the future of financial inclusion.
The finalists are chosen from a large number of applicants and representatives from each financial and regulatory company. They will pitch their pioneering products to a panel of expert judges in virtual sessions to be held on the 26th to 27th of November.
This year’s showcase will be held online. Those who emerge among the top three will take part in AFI’s Public-Private Dialogue platform where they will be awarded a year-long membership to Luxembourg House of Financial Technology that provides education, training, and research for those in the FinTech community.
All 12 finalists get to be featured in the special AFI report that highlights how their solutions will contribute to financial inclusion within the community. Innovative solutions provided to AFI member countries should be within the 9 themes outlined. Here are three finalists that represented the continent out of the final 12, in no particular order.
