Yebo Fresh launched an online grocery shopping platform after securing an undisclosed amount on Serie A funding from Dale Williams, E4E, Mark Forrester, and the founders at cars.co.za. Yebo Fresh will rely on this investment to build a formidable brand then hire a team of stellar experts to optimize the processes and systems. New hires help Yebo Fresh in their national expansion.

Yebo Fresh was founded in 2018 by Jessica Boonstra, an entrepreneur delivering foods and household goods to organizations and communities around the area. The online retailer will provide quality, accessible, and fresh household goods to the residents of Cape Town. Over time the startup has experienced exponential growth during the pandemic period from sales of private household deliveries to charities and businesses. Presently the company runs a warehouse of 1200 meters squared with 35 full-time employees.

E4E also participated in the startup’s seed funding round in September last year. More information on the acquisition at Ventureburn.
