MTN and Facebook kick off digital marketing training for SMEs under Y’ello 200

MTN Nigeria has partnered with Facebook to deliver digital marketing training for SMEs under the Y’ello 200 – MTN’s first accelerator programme.

This accelerator programme culminated with The Revv Programme, launched by MTN  in August last year to mitigate the adverse effects of Covid-19 in SMEs. The four-pronged approach will involve Access to a masterclass, market access, productivity support tools, and advisory initiatives. The Revv Programme aspires to help SMEs rethink, relearn and retool their businesses for growth within the digital economy. Executives from MTN will deliver the masterclasses that focus on essential areas of business management.

The selection process for the Y’ello 200 Accelerator Programme was vigorous and involved a 5-month intensive training delivered to 24,000 registered SMEs. The top 200 performers will be eligible for various technology and productivity tools and services for 6 months.

The first phase of the programme is the digital marketing training offered by Facebook should run for six weeks. Virtual sessions will start on January 21, 2020. The session will run under the theme, “Get Creative with Your Mobile Phone”.

Modupe Kadri, the Chief Financial Officer at MTN Nigeria pointed out some of the benefits of Y’ello 200 Accelerator Programme by classifying the masterclass as the first phase and the next involves ensuring there is digital inclusion.
