Helium Health, West Africa’s largest Electronic Medical Records and Management Information (HMI) Systems provider has launched its product offering in Kenya. The health tech company has partnered with Philips Healthcare Technologies, a local provider to integrate the new services – mainly an EMR service that will target the entire East African market.

Helium Health was founded by Adegoke Olobusi, Tito Ovia, and Dimeji Sofowora, in 2016, purposefully to solve problems in Nigeria’s health sector through the adoption of technology. To date, over 300 healthcare providers and 5000 health professionals use its platform across its West African markets.

In May 2020, we shared Helium Health’s raise of $7 million from Global Ventures and other investors. This is not to mention the US$10 million raised in a Series A earlier on which stood out as the largest raise for a SaaS company across West Africa. The startup is also a graduate of Y Combinator where they raised US$120,000 from participation.
