SA IOT startup CIRT earns recognition in top continental award

Consumption Information Real-Time (CIRT), a South African has won a continental prize for the Q-Hop digital payment solution. As per Linkedin, CIRT helps businesses solve challenges through Data Analytics, IoT technology, Consulting, and Digital Transformation.

As a contactless, cashless payment solution Q-Hop offers several payment platforms such as Bitcoin, Zapper, PayPal, Masterpass, SnapScan, Zapper, and mobile wallets. At the end of September, the Africa Cup Awards will be hosted by the SA Innovation Summit, seeking to develop entrepreneurial creativity of startups disrupting traditional ways of doing business.

The top three startups shortlisted for the award were  CIRT, LiquidGold, and Baramoda. According to an ITWeb article Audrey Verhaeghe, CEO of SA Innovation Summit pointed out that the judges are looking for scalable technology solutions. CIRT co-founder Ajay Lalu said, “Consumers want technology that allows them to spend less time checking out.” He went ahead to point out how CIRT invented Q-Hop to solve this challenge.

CIRT – an IOT data insight solution provider – last year launched solutions such as Fridgeloc, Q-Hop, Vaccloc, and Temploc (a cold supply chain monitor solution) – all that have garnered international recognition.
