Kuzlo, a B2B marketplace based in Alexandria has raised an undisclosed pre-seed round led by Nama Ventures. This B2B marketplace startup connects FMCG small retailers with wholesalers available in their area.

The FMCG market changes due to high competition from megastores and chains creating hire pressure on the groceries and other traditional supermarkets. Kuzlo ensures marketplace players have a  better supply network that ensures business success by adopting technology. In March 2021 Kuzlo is led by four co-founders Ayman, Tarek, Bassem, and Gebril with its main operational focus in Alexandria.

Ayman Elgarem, the CEO of Kuzlo describes digitalization as a “main driver for the transformation of many industrial sectors and the B2B marketplace in Egypt.” Kuzlo helps small scale retailers shift towards the new future challenges that support and strengthen its business value.

The Managing Partner of Nama Ventures, Mohammed Alzubi, said the investment in Nama is “part of our investment thesis.”
