More than 10,000 jobs are expected to be created in Imo State by the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation, an innovative NGO that promotes 21st-century knowledge through the promotion of practical entrepreneurialism, quality education, practical enhanced lifestyle and healthy living while also providing business owners and other recipients with the helpful knowledge and interest-free loans they need to expand their companies and become more competitive on the international stage.
It is anticipated that world-famous corporations in the technology industry like Meta and Microsoft, amongst others, will award certifications to graduates who have participated in and completed the program.
The humanitarian program, which goes by the name of the Imo Wealth Project, is open to business owners, graduates who are either unemployed or underemployed, as well as students who are in their final year of study at tertiary institutions located anywhere in the state of Imo.
The program will begin with a mandatory onboarding training program that will last for three days and will be held at the Imo State University Auditorium in Owerri from Tuesday, June 28, to Thursday, June 30, 2022. Successful candidates will be chosen among those participating in the program during this training. Each day at 9:00 am, the program will begin, although the accreditation of registrants starts by 8:00 am.
Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of the Zinox Group, will personally open each day of the conference with a 15-minute motivational talk.
A candidate only needs to show up once to the daily training sessions to have a chance of being chosen. Candidates interested in participating in the event are encouraged to register on the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation website to express their desire to do so. Prospective candidates are not required to pay any fees to register or take part in the event.
After a candidate has been properly registered on the site, they will be given a particular day on which they are forced to attend the training session.
During the training, world-class resource persons who have been painstakingly chosen to be instructors will give masterclasses.
Participants will be exposed to a wide range of things ranging from, such as finishing school classes, mentorship sessions, business success seminars and information empowerment, among other things.
Exceptional business owners who make it to the final round will have the opportunity to apply for loans without having to pay interest to expand their companies, while those who do not make it will be made aware of employment opportunities relevant to their areas of expertise.
Additionally, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Imo State University of Agriculture,Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Imo State University of Agriculture, working with the Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation to teach and certify eligible Imo graduates.
The Leo Stan Ekeh Foundation has begun providing these institutions with top-of-the-line digital tools, starting with the Imo State University. If the project in Imo is successful, the foundation intends to implement a similar initiative in one state located within each geopolitical region in Nigeria.
