Quality of Service standards has not been meeting by three Kenyan companies. The standards are set by Communication Authority of Kenya (CA). The three mobile operators included Safaricom, Telecom, and Airtel. These are the leading mobile operators in the country. The companies have received $2.9 million fine. This is for failing to follow the set rules. As a routine, the mobile operators must meet the Quality of Service (QoS) always.
Chris Maroleng, the MTN Group executive Cooperate Affairs will soon get a promotion. He will get a promotion to Chief Operating Officer of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). Chris has been seen as the best man to take the job after Hlaudi Motsoeneng. The information got to the public through three senior managers. This was during the public broadcast by the company. Chris is the former e.tv current affairs anchor. Chris will now move from MTN to SABC.
The number of fixed telephone subscribers in Rwanda increased by 44.9%. This is according to data from Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA). The increase was between second and third quarters of 2017. The data includes the mobile telephone, internet, tariffs, fixed telephone, and many more.
