The AWIEF Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner were the final events of the two-day AWIEF2022 Conference, which was hosted for the first time in North Africa.
Every year, the AWIEF Awards recognize, honor, and celebrate the achievements of African women business owners in a wide range of industries for their essential role in the continent’s economic growth and social development.
At the event, Irene Ochem, the CEO of AWIEF, greeted the winners and thanked both the AWIEF Awards’ international jury and everyone who put in a nomination.
She said, “When it comes to the AWIEF Awards, I tend to get a little emotional because it means the year is ending.
It’s a bittersweet feeling because we also get to commemorate remarkable women, many of whom have benefited from AWIEF projects.
