According to an announcement by Co-Creation Hub (CcHub), in partnership with Google, Rwanda’s Ministry of ICT and Innovation, and Mojaloop Foundation, six companies have been chosen to participate in the second cohort of the Fintech Incubation Programme.
The program’s first cohort of nine startups was chosen, and they graduated with a demo day in July of this year.
The Fintech Incubation Programme is a part of the Fintech Innovation Programme, a set of growth-focused projects designed to speed up Rwanda’s transition to digital and support a pan-African innovation ecosystem.
The six startups include:
- Expense-Expense management platform.
- SchoolNet Pay-solution for school payments
- Smart Ikigega-Platform for financial services for farmers
- Hepta Pay –mobile money service.
- Kayko-business management solution
- Giza-platform for savings and investment
Over the next three months, CcHub will help the teams get their products stable and scalable, ready for the market, and attract investment.
They will have access to guidance from industry professionals if they use the tools provided by Google and the platform provided by Mojaloop.
The startups in this program’s second cohort will present to investors during a demo day in December.
