The delivery is done to the customer’s doorsteps. Zulzi has its mobile app for iOS and Android. The app allows users to see and order from all the stores within a radius of 6 kilometers.
Once the order is placed, the independent personnel shoppers work on its delivery. The personnel is well trained, and they also have Zulzi mobile apps. The mobile app allows them to accept the orders and pick up the items from the specific stores. In case the product customer needed is unavailable, a replacement item is suggested. Once shopping is done, the items are handed over to the free driver for delivery.
The platform has independent drivers that have the Zulzi app. The app allows them to accept and deliver the orders. Some of the drivers work on different platforms like Uber and Taxify. The company is currently processing orders worth $81,000 monthly. Keep in mind that this is only in Johannesburg North. Mothers are the greatest users of grocery shopping. The company works with stores which pay commissions of between 7-15% per order. It also partners with Consumer Packaged Goods companies. The company is currently funding its activities. But it is sourcing for investments soon. The company has more than 1 million items on their platform with their prices.
