Apple Pay has officially launched in the country, providing a convenient payment option for customers. Apple updated its regional website to confirm that two major banks in Morocco, Crédit immobilier et hôtelier (CIH) and Crédit Agricole Group of Morocco (CAM) Bank, now support Apple Pay. CIH Bank’s Twitter account also announced that users can now make payments with Apple Pay using their iPhone or Apple Watch.
With this launch, Morocco becomes the second African country, following South Africa, to have access to Apple Pay’s services.
Apple Pay provides customers with a seamless and secure payment experience. Users can easily add their Mastercard credit cards and bank cards to the Wallet app on their compatible iPhone or Apple Watch. This allows them to make contactless payments at any compatible payment point. Furthermore, various apps and websites also accept Apple Pay as a convenient payment method.
Users can follow simple steps to add a credit or debit card to Apple Pay. They can open the Wallet app on their iPhones, tap the “+” icon in the top right-hand corner, and follow the on-screen instructions to add their cards. For iPad users with Touch ID, cards can be added to apps by accessing “Settings” and then “Wallet & Apple Pay.” Users can add cards by accessing the Watch app on their iPhones. It is worth noting that these features are available on devices running iOS 12 and above.
