From launching cyberattacks and hacking campaigns to manipulating social media during the electoral process, these risks have the potential to compromise the security, authenticity, and credibility of the elections. Such interference could greatly influence public perception and voter behavior.
Here is an overview of the risks associated with AI in electoral settings:
- Misinformation and Deepfakes: The advancement of AI has made it possible to create and spread false information through mediums like fake news articles and manipulated videos known as deepfakes.
