Tech stores launched by Sokowatch startup facilitates ordering of business supplies from international markets by small business entrepreneurs.  The programme helps in beefing up stock and enhancing effectiveness in offering goods and services to local customers in Africa. Sokowatch has been in operation for few months but has gain momentum benefiting many small merchants in the continent.

Solar power tech was launched by South Africa The Sun Exchange startup. The initiative aids in collective investment in solar cells which generates power in most local communities in Africa.  The move is one of the current monumental African technological transformation adjustment agenda of the year. The concept is, however, a win-win game whereas investors make more profits, remote communities in the continent gain more access to power.

Drone deliveries is one of the emerging trends not only in Africa but also worldwide. The tech operates by promoting accessibility of goods and services to people in hard-to-reach regions.  According to current business report, Africa seems to be better placed as compared to other international competitors.  For instance, Rwanda accepts drones while several parts of US and Europe do not give stiff aviation laws. In addition, Africa derives anti-venom, blood, and vaccines which are of great benefit to many communities in Africa.

A virtual payment system is a mobile payment platform launched by Karri, Paystack, Safaricom. and other startups in Africa. The innovation allows people to make payments and transfer money by use of a mobile handset.  Development of Virtual payment system in the continent was necessary since 39% of people spending over five hours a day on their phone.  However, there are several adulterations in mobile money transfer in the recent past which requires immediate rectification mechanisms.

Finally, e-Commerce has put the face of Africa business at par with most commercial institutions internationally. This comparative advantage is derived from improvement in drone deliveries, Sokowatch online payment and proposed Silicon Valley in Nairobi.
