Share

WellPal, an Egyptian eCommerce platform specializing in health and wellness products, has officially moved its operations to Saudi Arabia after receiving fresh funding from an undisclosed angel investor. The relocation is part of WellPal’s larger strategy to position itself as a key player in the health and wellness eCommerce sector across the region. This latest round of funding and the strategic move highlight WellPal’s goal of becoming the leading platform for wellness products in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Founded in 2019 by Mohamed Ali and Mohamed Tantawy, WellPal, a portfolio company of Flat6Labs formerly based in Egypt, operates within the fitness and wellness sector. The company offers a wide range of health products, including natural foods, herbs, and wellness supplements, all available through its app. WellPal’s recent decision to relocate reflects its commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles across the region, with ambitious plans for further regional expansion.

Mohamed Ali, WellPal’s CEO and Co-founder, shared his excitement about the move, stating, “We are proud to contribute to Saudi Vision 2030, especially in improving the quality of life for its citizens.” The company aims to deliver personalized health and lifestyle solutions using AI-powered features, enabling customers to make more informed and healthier choices.

Backed by a strategic angel investor, WellPal is poised to accelerate its expansion within the Saudi market. The company operates on a dropshipping business model, linking consumers to a carefully curated selection of fitness and wellness products sourced from reliable suppliers. This method enables WellPal to offer a diverse array of products without the burden of managing inventory or logistics, ultimately simplifying the customer experience.

Looking ahead, the healthtech company plans to integrate an AI-driven recommendation engine, designed to provide personalized product suggestions tailored to individual health needs. WellPal is also focused on broadening its product range, establishing key partnerships with both local and international health brands, and continually enhancing its platform to ensure a smooth, user-friendly experience for its growing customer base across the MENA region.

By capitalizing on Saudi Arabia’s burgeoning wellness market, WellPal aims to build upon its early success and contribute to the country’s broader health initiatives.
