Africa Global Logistics (AGL), formerly known as Bolloré Transport & Logistics, has launched its “Accelerate” program in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, aimed at supporting African startups in the logistics sector. Six startups were selected for the program’s inaugural cohort, including Lomé-based Eazy Chain, founded by Wilfried Dabire. The other participants are

PAPS and ALAL from Senegal, APPLOAD from Mozambique, and TAMBOUR and ALIA from Côte d’Ivoire.

The incubation program aims to support the selected startups by connecting them with mentors, exploring innovative logistics solutions, and engaging in project sprints to refine their products. Hosted at AGL’s Yiri Innovation Center in Abidjan, the six-month initiative will include diagnostics, pilot projects, and ongoing follow-up to accelerate the growth of the participants.

Wilfried Dabire, founder of Eazy Chain, stated, “Through the [Accelerate] program, we will leverage AGL’s strategic resources and expert coaching to realize this vision and drive sustainable transformation in the African maritime sector.”

Asta-Rosa Cissé, Regional Director of AGL Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, explained that the program is aimed at accelerating the growth of startups across Africa, while strengthening their role in driving the digital transformation of the logistics sector.

Leveraging Togo’s Attractive Business Climate

Eazy Chain, operating under the brand “Togo Cargo,” aims to use the Accelerate program to expand its reach both within Africa and internationally. “We chose to establish our operations in Togo due to the favorable business environment, security, and Lomé’s strategic location as a regional hub,” said Dabire.

Eazy Chain CEO Wilfried Dabire further emphasized, “Our flagship project is a feeder vessel service aimed at transforming regional shipping. This service will connect the deep-water port of Lomé to the port of Praia in Cape Verde, with stops at key regional ports. It will efficiently link secondary ports to major hubs, reducing logistics costs, transit times, and load breaks.”

Over the next six months, Dabire’s firm will leverage the expertise of Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a major player in the logistics sector with operations in 47 African countries. The startup will primarily focus on improving its ship consignment capabilities, port management, and goods transit, aiming to enhance its services and strengthen its competitiveness in the sub-region.
