Global tech revolution has changed the phase and the working of all sectors globally. From health to the education sector, technology has played an important part in giving clients best services. Technology has made services accessible to everyone.  Furthermore, it has made services available to almost everyone at affordable rates. The sector that has highly benefited from technological revolutions is the communication sector. In the recent past communication, companies have worked on improving their services. This takes place with an aim of attracting more clients.

African startups have not been left behind in the tech revolutions witnessed globally. Technology has made it possible for African startups to get investors.  They have also gained from a partnership with different startups. This has placed them on global startup map. For instance, South African based startup hearX Group secured a partnership with the American Academy of Audiology. The partnership will see the launch of the first-ever intensive hearing screening app in the US. The app is known as the hearAmerica app.

The app will be available on smartphones.  It will be launched and showcased at the Academy’s annual conference. The conference will take place on April 18-21 in Nashville, Tennessee. The app will give users a chance to test their hearing via screening and receive an accurate detection of hearing defect. Furthermore, it gives personalized hearing tracking. It also has an in-app patient-centered decision support tool. Moreover, it will connect to the nearest audiologist if a hearing problem is detected.

Many people fail to detect that they have a hearing problem. Many are very busy to an extent that they do not spare time to visit an audiologist. This is according to the president of the American Academy of Audiology Jackie Clark. At times the hearing problem is a temporary one or a symptom of another sickness. The app will enable hearing screens and make licensed audiologists readily available to everyone at the time of need.
