A15, an Egypt-based venture capital firm supporting entrepreneurs across MENA has announced its investment into recently launched Sympl, a startup working to disrupt the consumer payment sector.

A15 invests in tech startups with a proven track record in generating value for fintech. The venture capital firm provides knowledge and experience, in addition to capital. This extends to operational support, via product development or technological integration, while preparing for future funding rounds and exit strategies.

The early investment into Sympl by A15 will support the development of Sympl’s checkout platform and helps to bring it to launch. Both companies will continue driving innovation across Egypt’s payment sector while contributing to the country’s ongoing commitment as it transitions to a cashless society.

A15 is a lead promoter of entrepreneurship and innovation with over 30 investments across MENA region. In September 2018, A15 sold 76 percent to fintech company TPAY while leading African private equity firm Helios Investment Partners making it the first to create Dragon. The firm invests in early-stage portfolio companies working closely with founders in generating value across different channels. A15 provides an invaluable support network for its founders.
