Africa ClimAccelerator has launched a call to all local entrepreneurs looking to apply for funding, expertise, and mentorship through the first pan-African accelerator focussed on scaling promising climate-focused innovations. The program helps enhance the development and deployment of innovative technology that accelerates climate-positive business solutions for a net-zero Africa.
Partner organizations for the programme – GrowthAfrica and Carbon Trust – are looking for 15 startups to take part in the ClimAccelerator which is Giz-funded on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (‘BMZ’) to support the Climate-KIC International Foundation.
Africa ClimAccelerator runs from November 2021 to April 2022 while targeting early-stage businesses across Africa while prioritizing enhanced sustainability as part of their mission and growth.
The call opens up to several sectors such as circular economy, land use, energy efficiency, land use, that support Africa in catalyzing systemic change. This 6-month programme provides specialized business knowledge and expertise, with tools to measure climate and social impact and EUR12,000 in funding.
