Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum extends deadline

As a response to the disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic,  Africa Women Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Forum, AWIEF extended its due date for submissions to May 20, 2020. The submissions to AWIEF  are part of the LeadTech Incubation Program run by  Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, UM6P.

Irene Ochem, who is the founder and CEO of AWIEF, stressed the “need for flexibility” during these trying times. She also conferred how the global pandemic could be a recipe for innovations in healthcare, education, finance, agriculture, and environment sectors.

The women who will make it past the selection will receive:

  • Training and capacity building
  • 3-week residency at UM6P, Morocco
  • Infrastructure and conducive environment with facilities such as Prototyping Labs, Living Labs, Data Center, Digital Lab, etc
  • Mentorship support
  • Virtual incubation of 5 months
  • A showcase at the AWIEF2020
  • Funding support

How do I become eligible?

Provided you are an African female applicant, 18 years, or plus, LeadTech Incubation invites you to apply. The applicant must be residing within the continent. During the selection criteria, the panel will check how innovative and scalable the digital idea is. Also, the applicant must have the passion, energy, and capacity to commit to the entire program.
