In the recent past, Creative Africa has been in the spotlight with two creatives every week. The founder Ahmed El Azzabi has had a plan of restructuring it into a fully-fledged field where any given creative can obtain useful information helpful in the work and job market.
El Azzabi revealed that this action commenced when he opted for online freelance jobs. In this, he would do several proposals in an attempt to secure software engineering positions. However, would not qualify in several instances. He even notes that his inability to secure the jobs was not in any way related to incompetence. However, it was directly linked to the prices he quoted. His prices were high for an African man. In line with the price, El Azzabi emphasized that he had what it takes to charge that amount and not aligned with being an African or not.
It is the quality, competence and the working conditions of the African creatives that seemed satisfactory to El Azzabi thus prompting him to create a website to share with the world this wonderful work centered in one place.
The inception of bootstrapped has had a good reputation among different African creatives reached emanating from Angola, Nigeria among other African countries. Creative Africa has the mandate of studying various income streams culminated in Africa with two new streams likely to be launched in the coming weeks. The new streams will ensure that the creatives are charged for advanced publicity. El Azzabi also noted that this is different from the normal adverts since featuring the work of the African creatives is a mandate and a core principle and esteemed value streamlined in the mission of startup.
The featuring promotions are as well part of the mission and are therefore reviewed before the actual publishing is done since they are expected to stay on the platform for a lifetime. There is intended launch of the jobs board that will ensure companies can successfully post work after which the users can be able to apply for them.
