Africar Group Translates Its Websites in Local African Languages

TechInAfrica – Africar Group, the largest car classifieds websites network in sub-Saharan Africa has implemented local African languages on its 22 different platforms.

Africar Group also plans to translate their websites to Zulu, Swazi, Sotho, and Wolof languages soon. Since its formation, their websites have been using only French and English languages. Presently, they have translated some websites to Swahili, Somali, Malagsy, Hausa, Kinyarwanda, Amharic, and Yoruba languages.

Besides, the startup wants to ensure that the locals conveniently access information in their native languages. Speaking to Axel Peyriere, the CEO, and co-founder of Africar Group, he said that the translation will have a significant impact on the locals. Furthermore, he stated that they intend to reach 400 million potential customers in Africa. Moreover, he said that the efforts the company makes will distinguish it from other competitors. He also said that the move of translating their platforms will make more sense to the users.

Axel Peyriere also said that he wants the locals to benefit from their translated car classifieds websites. Currently, Africar Group wants to ensure that they translate all their car classified platforms.
