In May, the highly anticipated AfricArena Dakar FinTech, Mobility & Logistics Summit will take place in Dakar, Senegal, making it the center of attention. The summit will gather the brightest minds in business, technology, fintech, mobility, logistics, and investment to examine the flourishing Senegalese startup ecosystem.
The AfricArena team is excited to continue their 2023 AfricArena tour in Dakar. This is because the AfricArena Cairo Growth Stage Summit went well. From May 24 to 25, 2023, the meeting will occur at the Museum of Black Civilizations.
The city of Dakar, which is often called the “Gateway to Africa,” will be the right place for this event. Dakar is the most western city in Africa. It is known for its long past and lively culture. People who go can walk around the city’s historic streets and learn more about Senegal’s business opportunities.
Startupbootcamp AfriTech, DER, AWS Startups, the International Trade Centre, ENRICH in Africa, ASIP, and the French ambassador to Senegal and Gambia, Philippe Lalliot, put on the summit. Its goal is to help startups, investors, and venture capitalists from all over Africa and the world connect and work together.
Over 30 startups in the fintech, mobility, and logistics industries at different stages of growth, from seed to change, will give presentations at the two-day meeting. Also, attendees will be able to learn from keynote speakers and take part in panel talks led by professionals in the field.
Zachariah George, managing partner at Launch Africa Ventures; Charlotte Newman, head of Underrepresented Founder Startup BD at AWS Startups; Thaheer Mullins, general partner at Savant Venture Fund; July Andraous, managing partner at Jambaar Capital; and many others have all agreed to speak at the event.
In addition to the summit, several other events will occur during the week. ENRICH in Africa will organize a learning expedition in Dakar, offering foreign entrepreneurs and SMEs the chance to discover the Senegalese market and forge lasting partnerships. The ASIP accelerator demo day will also occur during the summit, showcasing the most promising startups from the ASIP accelerator program to potential investors and partners.
Also, the VC Unconference, known for letting people share new ideas and work together in the venture capital community, will be held in Saly, Senegal, in partnership with Startupbootcamp AfriTech.
Startups at the conference can use AWS Activate, which gives them up to $100,000 in credits to help them build and grow their businesses on the Amazon Web Services platform.
The AfricArena Dakar FinTech, Mobility & Logistics Summit gives investors, entrepreneurs, and industry experts a unique chance to meet, share knowledge, and learn about the exciting changes in Senegal’s startup environment.
