AfriNova Digital Launches digiToken

TechInAfrica – Local tech startup AfriNova Digital has launched an online digital payment app called digiToken for consumers to pay for loans, subscriptions, or purchase prepaid electricity easily.

The app is built with the rural communities in mind.

“This is the perfect solution, creating convenience as people do not need to leave their homes to pay for monthly accounts like DSTv, bank loans, and funeral covers; buy airtime or electricity, which many still find very prevalent within the South African market particularly in the Townships and surrounding areas,” Xolisa Vuza, Co-Founder of digiToken said.

It was launched in August 2020 and has since catered to users as they protect themselves from the risk of the pandemic.

Both banked and unbanked populations could use the app, with the unbanked using DigiToken’s smart wallet that allows users to purchase a product on the platform.

The app doesn’t incur a transaction fee when using the digiWallet to purchase electricity or airtime.

Download the app on Playstore or App Store.
