Almentor, an Egyptian edtech startup, has raised $10 million in pre-Series C funding

Almentor ,an online platform for learning Arabic through videos in Egypt. It has just received $10 million in a pre-Series C fundraising round.

E & Capital’s technology investment section led this finance round. e& Capital has joined Partech, Sawari Ventures, Egypt Ventures, Sango Capital, and Endure Capital as stakeholders.

Since its start in 2016, Almentor has worked with more than 950 well-known professionals to develop more than 1,000 online courses for consumers, businesses, and government agencies. 

The new company offers high-quality Arabic information and a customized way to learn. 

Students can subscribe monthly or annually to have unrestricted access to a library of over 700 courses on health, humanities, technology, entrepreneurship, business management, lifestyle, drama, sports, corporate communication, and digital media. 

Almentor’s main purpose is to provide people in MENA hope and opportunities for growth, and giving ten million learners more power is a big step. Dr. Ihab Fikry, co-founder and CEO of Almentor, and Ibrahim Kamel, co-founder, and COO, both talked about how proud and excited they were to be able to collaborate with e& to help the company grow. 

With the extra money, the business will be able to grow faster and get closer to its goal of reaching 10 million MENA learners.
