Angel Fair Africa, a global investor magnet event this November held its annual meeting in Cote d’Ivoire, this event has been held across Africa having its first ever meeting in Johannesburg, then in succession Lagos, Accra, Nigeria and now in 2017 in the city of Abijan Cote d’ivoire. The 5th AFA convention attracted well over 95 thirsty world investors to experience and assesses various African investment opportunities. Esther Dyson a renowned investor in a plethora of credible companies ranging from Facebook to Linkedin, Flickr and 23andME was the key guest speaker.
E.Dyson has been a long time investor in African markets she has invested in Angaza, Nomanini etc and plays a key role of offering insights to DiGAME an investment company. She is interested in interacting with others; learning what practices prevail in other business atmospheres. The event she spoke at gave more than a venue to the attendees but also a taste of the Ivorian cultural environment.
Investors in attendance were from various investor networks across Africa; this includes the Ghanaian and Lagos based networks, Venture Capital and Angel Capita associations. Entrepreneurs in attendance came from TEXXL, Co-Creation Hub, Mest, Khula tech and many more. These entrepreneurs showcased their inventions and gave the investors an afternoon treasure hunt of business exploration.
