TechInAfrica – The AppsAfrica Awards 2020 application closed on November 10. Startups can enter for free, while corporate is charged $50 per categories. The Award will showcase the  exciting innovation happening in Africa.

Selected winners will be invited to the 4th Africa Tech Summit Kigali 2021.

Participating team should at least launch one of their services in African market within 12 categories.

Disruptive Innovation Award – For companies which service/product has disrupted to existing African market. (Open for all sectors)

Health Tech Award – For companies which innovation focus on African healthcare, such as service, device, software, hardware, apps, SMS, IVR, or social media.

Best African App Award – For companies who have designed and launched an app in the African market, with best design, creativity, user interface, usability, originality, innovation, and adoption.

Cyber Security Award – For companies which service provide excellent data, workloads, and system protection for both individuals and organization. (Open for all sectors)

Blockchain Award – For companies who develop innovative blockhain solution for mass adoption in Africa.

Media & Entertainment Award – For companies who provide best and most engaging product/service in news and entertainment, such as music, podcasts, literary, gaming, children’s entertainment, lifestyle, influencers, youtubers, vlogs and video.

Education Award – Product/service that enhances Africa education, such as m-learning, e-learning, online courses and mobile utilities for teaching and assessment, and more.

Agri & FoodTech Award – For companies with any hardware, software, drones, big data, IoT services, mobile services or any technology that support farmers, improving yields or supply chains in Africa.

Fintech Award – Best innovation in fintech industry, such as digital currency, bitcoin, mobile money, wallets, P2P, money remittances & transfers, point of sale or funding platforms.

Social Impact Award – Any technologies that benefit social impact growth in the African community.

eCommerce Award – Initiatives for online and mobile commerce in Africa, such as Entrants might include online platforms, retail brands, portals, apps, classifieds, comparison sites.

Mobility Award – Mobilized technology such as hardware, software, robotics, drones, or mobile services that improve mobility, logistics, or supply chains in the African marker.
