Artificial Intelligence (AI) is on the verge of winning an investment worth $1 million from Sagarmantha Technologies a technology platform based in Cape Town which was launched on 30th November 2017 of the AI Revolution Challenge.
Sagarmatha Technologies had a press release on 30th November 2017 and said that the company would offer $1 million in funding development and an addition $2 million in marketing value and prizes to AI startup. The application for the challenge is open up to 31st March 2017, and a group of AI investors and experts are expected to select not less than 20 startups for the final event which will be hosted in South Africa come May 2017.
Sagarmatha Technologies CEO Paul Lamontagne said that Africa had got creative and outstanding perspectives offering a unique space for innovation and distribution of technology in the whole world. Paul said Africa has a unique group of innovators and distributors and Sagarmatha Technologies was ready to improve the standard of the upcoming entrepreneurs.
Application for the Revolution Challenge is open to businesses that offer or having an intention of offering products, services platforms that make use of AI. To qualify for the application, startup must have attracted a minimum investment of $25 million by the time of application either in seed funding or equity or loans.
The applicants are required to upload a presentation inform of PDF or PPT describing their product, group, market opportunity and financial expectations. A five-pitch video must be submitted via the Revolution app. The video must include all the vital members of the applicant’s team.
