Ghana startup Bare wins the UnHacked Virtual Pitch Competition hosted by Vazi Legal. Bare showcased their solution that combines artificial intelligence and other expert consultants when providing skincare to customers. Second place went to Jidi Trust from Ghana while third place went to Tuverl from Zimbabwe.
UnHacked is a pitch competition where Africa-focussed tech startups pitch their innovative solutions so as to emerge as winners. The first prize winner clinched a $10,000 cash prize while second-place gets $5,000. All three startups get legal advisory, training, introduction to investor networks, and a lot more.
The following startups were shortlisted as finalists: Dorcspark drones, NextWear Tech Hub, Jidi Trust, Bare, Student Blind, Kazi App, Adannar, and Tuverl. A final pitch competition on December 22 was carried out in the presence of a distinguished judge panel.
To participate in the UnHacked by Vazi Legal, the team must have an Africa-centered solution, at least founders must be female and should focus on either; Blockchain, Supply chain, Healthcare, Social Media & mobile, and education technology.
