This programme targets young entrepreneurs making innovative contributions to sustainable development in developing economies while improving the living conditions of the locals.

Selection criteria

To take part in the programme one must run a startup with a head office in Kenya or a branch registered in the country. The startup must have generated some turnover revenue on its product. In addition, the startup must have the capability to acquire equally matching funds from other sources.

BMZ is looking to support young companies that are active in the developing or emerging economy and with business models that contribute to sustainable local, economic, and ecological social development.

Kenya is the first country where develoPPP Ventures will launch before expanding to other OECD-DAC countries.
