Bolt, the leading on-demand mobility app in Africa is introducing a new feature to enhance its in-app safety measure. The company has announced the addition of an audio recording feature that allows riders and drivers to start recording their trips within the Bolt app. This new feature will enable users to feel more comfortable during their rides.
To maximize this feature, users can manually activate the audio recording feature on the app while their ride is in progress. The recorded audio can then be reported to the customer support team for better handling of safety-related problems. By sharing the recorded audio as an attachment Bolt gains access to key evidence.
This feature’s Initial launch and testing will be limited to specific cities in Nigeria, starting with Benin City and specific cities in South Africa. To access this feature, users have to download or update to the latest version of the Bolt app.
Yahaya Mohammed, the County Manager at Bolt has stressed the company’s commitment to ensuring the safety of their users. The addition of the audio recording feature during trips is a vital part of Bolt’s in-app safety and only reflects their ongoing commitment to safety measures.
The introduction of this new feature is proof of Bolt’s commitment to improving safety measures on its platform. It showcases their proactive approach to solving user concerns and promoting a safe environment for everyone using this service. As Bolt continues to invest in more safety measures, users can expect a continually improved ride-hailing experience.
