Bolt a Ride-hailing platform has partnered with Metro Africa Express – (MAX) to expand Bolt’s vehicle financing program in Nigeria. MAX, the largest vehicle subscription platform in Nigeria, delivers low-to-zero emission vehicles in Africa. The scheme is part of Bolt’s commitment to offering ride-hailing drivers on low-quality repayment vehicles, support, and improving the driver’s earnings while allowing them vehicle ownership flexibility.

Drivers on Bolt’s platform rely on leased cars through hire purchase or rental models through the MAX partnership. Bolt’s partnered with MAX unveils a lease-to-own framework for e-hailing drivers who then lease their vehicles and pay in installments until ownership is secured.

This partnership will help Nigerian drivers increase their efficiency by accessing value-add services providing access to licenses and permits, low-to-zero emission vehicles, affordable health coverage, insurance, and other financial products.

In the press release, Bolt’s Country Manager, Femi Akin-Laguda said, “In partnership with Max, we are looking to expand our commitment to helping drivers on the Bolt platform to earn more and at their own pace.” Bolt will partner with MAXin advancing and easing mobility across Nigeria while empowering offering opportunities for drivers.
