The e4, which is a software service company, has launched an app they called BondTracker. This application is developed to increase efficiency while tracking as well as communicating progress during property registration. The company’s Head of Legal Studio, Clive Bredenkamp, asserts that the app is part of e4’s innovation with the goal of increasing traceability during bond registration.

Without the need of a PC, the app will reduce the need for constant manual feedback between conveyancers and their clients. For instance, parties involved in a transaction, such as Estate Agents and developers, can now keep abreast of property registrations by using BondTracker. Bredenkamp added that the app can allow clients to keep track of the progress of registration on their mobile phones through an intuitive graphical interface, which has the benefit of push notifications on milestone events. Additionally, it also has a messaging platform to direct message to the conveyancer directly in their vendor package.

This app is available for iOS and Android smartphones. It also allows clients to receive as well as review documents within the App hence increasing valuable functionality and simplicity for all parties. Consequently, this application turned out to be a permanent store of the client’s signed documents allowing them to share these documents with their storage such as DropBox or Google Drive.

Currently, BondTracker is available for all bond transactions that are instructed through the infrastructures of the e4 and more transaction types will follow. For instance, when conveyancers get instant notification regarding a new bond instruction, they can send a security code to invite anyone willing to track the matter, to download BondTracker and have access of tracking the progress.

Based on the projections from the International Data Corporation (IDC), the growth of mobile apps is predicted to total 210 billion annual installations between 2016 and 2020. Bredenkamp highlighted the power of growth of premium and powerful smartphones in compelling customers to make transactions on the go. This makes it a prerequisite that traditional website applications are scaled for accessibility in mobile apps. Therefore, it is worth having confidence in the BondTracker because it will improve the bond registration process for all involved.
