C. Moore Media has announced the 2nd edition of The Future is Female Mentorship Program. This 3-month long virtual program targets  African female tech founders and offers complimentary PR and Communications mentorship.

Last year, CMM launched the first inaugural edition of The Future is Female Mentorship Program. The rollout took place during the celebration of Africa Day, in spite of the adverse impact of Covid-19 across the globe. CMM’s intention is to offer support to female tech founders in a sector traditionally dominated by men.

12 female-led startups were selected in 2020, among them RPA nuggets,  Movemeback.com, Easy Matatu, and several others. The lucky few were shortlisted from a competitive pool of about 140 applicants drawn from 18 countries. The program received a nod from  The global PR industry for its distinction as the first PR and communications mentorship program exclusively tailored for African female tech founders.

Benefits of the Future is Female Mentorship Program

Female tech founders will receive insights, knowledge, and skills on PR and Communication that are vital for growing their businesses. This applies to African women based in Africa or with tech businesses targeting the African diaspora communities. The mentees will learn how to create a communications plan and how to incorporate storytelling into their business communications as they engage multiple stakeholders.

This year’s application portal window runs from June 7, 2021, to July 5, 2021. Those who make it to the second cohort will be announced on July 26, 2021. You can check out the website for further information on the program.

C. Moore Media, International Public Relations (CMM) is a NY headquartered PR agency targeting the UK, US, and African markets.
