The Ventures Platform Foundation launched the 12-week programme inviting tech solutions to their latest incubation programme. VPF is the social impact hub of Ventures Platform Hub and promises transparency ad accountability in the implementation of tech solutions within Nigeria’s Covid-19 response.
VPF was created in conjunction with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) a new initiative supporting Civil society organizations across the country to build innovative solutions on good governance and access to public services.
What do participants stand to gain?
Five organizations chosen will benefit from a $2,500 grant to create mentorships, technical support, and other networking opportunities. In the 12-week period, participants will work with key experts on policy advocacy, public sector reform, and citizen engagement.
During the launch of Gov Labs Mimshach Obioha the Executive Director at Ventures Platform Foundation will emphasize the “health and economic implications of COVID-19”. According to Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), there were hundreds of human rights violations during the initial lockdown period. Among the initiatives launched by VPF this year is the COVID-19 Innovation Challenge and the Start Up North East incubator.
You can apply for the Gov Labs program here and submit your application. The window closes on 6th February 2021.
