CCNA and Yabatech Conduct a Training Program in Digital Printing

TechInAfrica – Canon Central and North Africa (CCNA) has just signed a collaborative agreement with Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) to empower students in their professional development. The support is formed into a digital printing training program with Canon specialists.

The agreement with Yabatech is an extension of Canon’s Miraisha Sustainability Program. The program was launched in 2014 with the main goal to build capacity and African talents. Furthermore, Canon wants to strengthen the company image, foster advanced technologies and drive innovations.

The digital printing training program with Yabatech is meant to widen the knowledge of digital printing and technical skills of students that specialized in the sector. Their first activity on a program will be specialty training that lasts for a week and conducted by Canon’s professional print manager.

“During our collaboration with the prestigious College, Yabatech, we will provide a platform to develop the printing skills and give new opportunities to students. This will be achieved by providing them with innovative tools, practices and modern skills necessary for proactive participation in the economy,” said Roman Troedthandl, Managing Director at CCNA.

Troedthandl added, “Indeed, the training workshop will offer unparalleled prospects for graduates to broaden their horizons and take advantage of employment opportunities that support this remarkable population growth.“

Meanwhile, Dr. Adeyemi Kunle, the Den of School of Arts, Design & Printing Yabatech stated: “I am very delighted that my students from the school of Arts, Design & Printing, Yaba College of Technology can benefit from the training provided by Canon’s experts in the professional printing industry.”
