OLX is a multinational global online e-commerce platform operating in more than 40 countries. The report dated 6 February 2018 showed that the company closed its offices in Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana. Additionally, another report indicated that OLX staffs were notified and ought to relocate by end of March 2018.

According to CEO of OLX Sjoerd Nikkelen, the move was the hardest decision the company has never had.  The closure was however, meant to consolidate operations in other international offices.  The COE added that the company will still remain in operation supporting and financing their core customers in Africa.

Therefore, the company looks forward to invest more in innovation and regional transformation to make OLX top e-commerce globally.
