Commissions.ng is a Nigerian startup that helps users to start businesses selling products and services for commissions. The platform gives every subscribed user a complete private e-commerce platform that comes with items that they can start with in their sales. The company that was completely launched in September 2017 relieves the subscribers from the worries of web hosting, technical and logistic details, and at the same time the need to organize seasonal promotion and process payments.
According to the co-founder Ehis Asibor, the only role expected to be played by the subscribers is marketing and sales. Commissions.ng caters for the rest of processes like liaising with the vendors, handling the order process and ensuring that the order is fulfilled once the order has been made. The company also caters to any complaint rose by the buyer in case the order is returned. In general, the company caters to everything that’s outside marketing and sales.
Commissions.ng give its subscribers an opportunity to sell some products apart from regular products or services, and this ensures that there is a variety of products on the subscribers’ platform. The company is now working on how to subscribers can have a chance to sell flight bookings and hotel reservations directly via their e-commerce base. The subscribers are in a position to recharge cards, sell airtime and in due course they will they will be offering various bill payments. Those are just but minor involvement the main target is to allow the subscribers to sell anything for a commission.
As much as the availability of capital is critical in the starting of any business, but it’s not the endgame of business to be successful. Since the company has offered services that are higher than what is expected of them based on the resources they have, it gives them hope that their future is bright.
Commissions.ng currently has more than 100 websites for subscribers with the ability to sell around 4000 commodities. Despite the fact that the company is currently operational in Nigeria only, they are on the verge of expanding to other parts of Africa once they have taken control of the Nigerian e-commerce market.
