Crasner Ventures is an early-stage venture capital investor fund supporting businesses led by female entrepreneurs and founders from diverse backgrounds. Umwuga is the second company in Crasner Venture’s portfolio.

The platform opens up employment opportunities to those excluded by the recruitment industry and social networks tailored for white-collar workers. Employers will reap from access without having to pay agents, while candidates can also recommend people they trust. Umwuga looks to expand across Africa and eventually into Latin America and South East Asia.

Umwuga is based in South Africa and is run by Nasi Rwigema. We earlier covered Umwuga’s launch as a worker-first social network. The official launch was in December 2020.
