Customer Base for Vodacom Siyakha Hits 7.5 Million

Mobile technology has received popularity in recent years and many startups regard it as a powerful tool to reach customers. Vodacom after identifying this fact, they decided to introduce mum and baby information to help parents. Therefore, they developed a Mum&Baby app. Many parents loved using the app and it received popularity.

Vodacom had realized the need of addressing socio-economic challenges in its region of operation. They based their solutions on the four main pillars of the company which includes jobs, health, social-connectivity, and education. They derive these pillars from 2030 national development goals. According to the Chief Officer of the Consumer Business Unit at Vodacom, Nyimpini Mabunda, they strive to address all the above problems.

Recently, Vodacom Siyakha revealed that their platform currently has 7.5 million customers. The platform was established in 2017 to offer affordable and zero-rated products to its customers. It also has free insurance products, health care, jobs, educational portals and careers websites.

During its early stages, Siyakha banner used Facebook Flex. Vodacom subscribers can use and keep in touch with friends and relatives through the Facebook Flex website.

Whenever subscribers of Siyakha funeral plan top up airtime, they receive a bonus of 50%. Besides, these customers get a free cover of up to R10,000.
