UK-Nigeria Tech Hub just announced a pilot phase of its Developer Placement which will see it partner with  Decagon – Nigeria’s leading software institute. Over 100 software developers will be picked for a 3-month paid internship and placed in certain shortlisted SMEs to work while gaining hands-on experience in building innovative products.

It is an excellent opportunity for software developers aiming to upskill and gain valid industry experience. SMEs across Nigeria need digital enablement to scale and develop their social-impact products and projects.

You can apply to the program either as an SME or a Developer. The application window runs from January 6th to 15th. After the 3-month Bootcamp participants are placed into 3-month paid internships where they get to work on live projects. As a participant, you must have graduated from a recognized software engineering institute in Nigeria. As an SME, it must be a social impact project or product that needs scaling or improving on features.

Decagon is Nigeria’s top software engineering company. The Developer Placement Programme aligns with the vision of Decagon and UK-Nigeria Tech Hub – which is to move Nigeria into a tech-powered age.
