The renewable energy sector is expanding day by the day signifying increased markets and interests. New Southern Energy (NSE), a player in the sector has taken a move that has redefined renewable energy management. Partnering with DroneGrid, a drone (end-to-end) data platform, NSE has significantly made easy solar site life-cycle management.

With projects all over Africa, NSE – a leading South Africa based renewable energy full-service provider – has carved its niche in providing technical and professional expertise in the sector capitalizing on its extensive experience. NSE’s specialty is in assessment, designing, supplying, installation and continuous maintenance of renewable energy projects.

DroneGrid platform utilizes aerial intelligence and drones to gather and manage aerial data of one or more sites. In mammoth projects, the technology offers complete site views when planning, designing, during actual construction and even in maintenance procedures, through survey-grade topography maps.

The partnership places NSE a notch higher in the renewable energy sector and at the same time fulfills a part of DroneGrid’s ambitions for Africa. Vishal Punamiya, DroneGrid’s CEO applauded the partnership, “DroneGrid’s footprint expanding into Africa has been on our roadmap for a time now. This strategic collaboration only reinforces our commitment to offering world-class solutions to the existing and future clientele in the region.” Used by investors and energy providers in over 22 countries, DroneGrid digitization eases monitoring, enables managers to make informed decisions and save money.

NSE can now provide its existing and future clients a cutting-edge technology with value added service in ground surveying, building supervision in solar sites and annual inspection. None like that developed before!  Speaking to the press, NSE CEO, David Masureik reiterated on NSE’s vision to solve Africa’s most complex energy problems through a distributed energy approach. “The partnership with DroneGrid is key for NSE to achieve differentiation from other renewable energy actors. We look forward to utilizing these data analysis to further improve our system design, installation, operation, and maintenance offering added value to our clientele.” Masureik said.
