Event Organizer Jobs Made Easy By DoingSoon

Share

The event organizing department has been having a rough time in carrying out their activities. The department sometimes has to spend a lot of money or a lot of time on the social media in the name of promoting their events. Good news for the event organizers is that DoingSoon which is a Nigerian based startup is coming in to make it easier for the organizers. The event organizer jobs can now be digitized.

The startup developed the minimum viable product (MVP) in December 2017. MVP is a distribution system which allows DoingSoon to allocate events developed on its platform via some channels instantly to Nigerians to discover events online, develop exposure for events and help organizers get a large pool of audiences.  According to Shina Memud the startup’s co-founder it has been hard for the event organizers to find audience globally. It’s time-consuming when it comes to finding the best tool to manage the event and hence becoming costly to carry out the whole activity.

Shina’s site takes after Eventbrite as an example of companies that gives event organizers a rough time. The platform does not allow the Nigerian currency for their events created within the country. Therefore, it forces the organizers to link to external payment options like Paystack or call for bank transfers, and this only adds salt to the wound when it comes to attendees and payment management. DoingSoon offers the organizers a chance of reaching to a number of Nigerians at no marketing costs, develop multiple ticket pricing, call for custom information for event registrations, and guide their bookings and tickets with a dashboard that is easier to use.

Charges incurred

Shina says that the company only charges 10% on each successful transaction. The organizers are paid out on the same day of the event’s completion. The payment method is meant to protect the users from canceled events or frauds. The company has managed to host 15 events since its launch, and it’s looking forward to expanding its services to more countries shortly. The company is now offering the free listing of events although it’s planning to launch the payments before the end of January 2018.
