Dr. Edem Bart Williams is the CEO of Commerz Savings and Loans Company in Ghana. The CEO transformed various fields in the country. Some of them include banking and finance, financial management, and accounting.
Others are Treasury & Funds Management, business planning, IT and market research among others.
He is a Ph.D. holder in Business Administration and MSc in Business Administration and Economics. Dr. Bart holds BSc in Banking and Finance. He is a Licensed International Financial Analyst. Moreover, he is the executive member of Chartered Institute of Administration and Management Consultants. He also pursued postgraduate Diploma in Management from the UK among other titles.
Dr. Bart is a chief contributor in top academic journals in Ghana and abroad. He also presented many scholarly articles within and in the international conferences. He lectured at the Business School of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.
Besides academics, he served other professional roles in various institutions and companies. He was a consultant for the GHAMFIN and GTZ-Rural Finance Project. Others institutions include African Development Foundation (ADF), and PEP-Africa.
Dr. Bart recently won the 2017 Best Young Non-Bank Financial Entrepreneur award. The honor was given by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG). He was the most excellent young entrepreneur with good professionalism in business industry. The event took place at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra Ghana. This marked the eighth Ghana Entrepreneur & Corporate Executive Awards & Gala Dinner. There were other dignitaries who received various awards alongside Dr. Bart. They include Dr. Kwaku Frimpong Yolanda Zoleka Cuba and Dr. Daniel Mckorley. Other winners were Mrs. Yvonne Nduom, Dr. Nortey Omaboe, and Yoofi Grant among others.
The Foundation acknowledged the effort of Dr. Bart in the entrepreneurship development. During an interview with Dr. Sam Ato Gaisie, he noted that the award was to motivate the young entrepreneurs. He added that the honor identified those who touched the lives of many people in the society.
