Easyshop Easycook is a Nigerian based online platform that deals with grocery and fresh food processor. The platform targets employed individuals and SMEs. It gives a great online shopping experience offering a number of many platform technology solutions. This allows them to cater to both partners and customers by delivering fresh food gotten from farms. It also supplies non-perishable foods, household items and office supplies to schools, homes, hospitals, offices, restaurants and many more. It does this all over Nigerian capital.

The platform has announced its seed funding led by EchoVC Pan-Africa Fund. It plans to use the funds in optimizing its online market and farm-to-last-mile chain of supply. According to the platform’s CEO Saudat Salami, the platform is working on delivering best and unique services to its customers. She adds that there was a large volume of food that was wasted despite the high demand for food that is there. Furthermore, there is too much fraud in the food supply chain. That is why they opted to come up with the platform so as to minimize the wastage and offer great service to its clients.

The EchoVC’s Olaide Olusoji-Oke was delighted to offer support to the platform. He added that they have been following the platform’s activities in the last previous years and they were attracted by the platform’s desires to bring trust in the food supply chain. Furthermore, they were attracted to Saudat’s ability to understand the business environment. Saudat has a great understanding of the offline market run by traders, consumers, and farmers. She is indeed among the elite group of entrepreneurs.

The move will also be an added advantage to farmers. This is because they will be able to sell their produce while still in the best state. This will allow them to generate more income because it will minimize wastage of the produce that is highly experienced in Nigeria.
