Egypt-based e-commerce startup Kemitt just raised a 6-figure round from Saudi-based angel investors. Kemitt was founded in 2017 by Mahmoud Fouad, connects both consumers and furniture designers while handling manufacturing, overheads, and other last-mile logistics.

Kemitt’s online platform has thus far allowed customers to access over 15,000 SKUs with the manufacturing option, accompanied by 7-12 delivery services on the doorstep saving time by fully digitizing the user shopping experience. The startup hopes to use the best technology available in the market while offering payments and financing plans.

In a statement, the co-founder and CEO of Kemitt expressed excitement over the new investment pointing out how it will “scale up our operations” and “expand to new markets.” He also described Kemitt as the “first choice” for customers interested in furniture shopping. Kemitt is looking to expand into Saudi Arabia in the not too distant future.
