DressCode, an Egypt fashion, and lifestyle e-commerce startup just raised $250,000 from Egypt Ventures. We earlier covered the same investors’ role in DressCode’s 6-figure seed funding round. The Cairo-based startup is not only an aggregator for established and emerging brands, it bolsters the use of Egyptian cotton in several of its own product lines.

Launched in 2019, DressCode has fulfilled 30,000 in orders and claims, raising its stock-keeping units from 300 to 6000 within a year. The startup will change the new investment to the expansion of its home decor offerings.

The online retailer will channel the new investment into expansion beyond its cosmetics and fashion lines. DressCode is building on the unprecedented demand for e-commerce, and the need to bolster the use of Egyptian cotton on a wide range of products.

Ahmed Gomaa of Egypt Ventures (CEO) said DressCode has the “potential to make an impact” in Egypt.
